EVP (Electronic
Voice Phenomenon) are the voice recordings that we hope to obtain
attributed to spirits around us. We use digital and analog recorders in
which to do this. These voices are not heard at the time of recording
but rather at the time the recording is played back. It is not certain
whether spirits imprint their voices onto the tape or the recorder is
recording what the ear cannot hear.
Below are some examples of EVP obtained during our investigations:
"He/She doesn't live
here any longer"
-- Recorded in an unoccupied residence of the researcher's family, It
seems to indicate that someone in question no longer lives there.
Recorded by Ali M. - 06/02
"Brian"
-- This EVP was obtained in an unoccupied residence of the researcher's
family. It says, "Brian", which is the name of the mentioned researcher's
husband. Recorded by Ali M. - 06/02
"He has spoken"
--
Recorded at a very old cemetery in Amity, NY, one late afternoon. This
recording seems to sound like, "He has spoken" by an older male with
an accent.
Recorded by Mark J. - 06/02
"Careful..." -- This
EVP was recorded on videotape during an investigation of a home in
northern New Jersey. There were several investigators having a normal
conversation. Immediately underneath them can be heard a female
child's voice mumbling. Her words are unintelligible at first, but
then you can make out the word "careful".
Recorded by Mark J. - 11/09/01
"Jackie, can you
hear me?" -- This
EVP was recorded just a few seconds after the above "careful" EVP.
Again, you can hear several of our investigators talking when more
whispering can be heard in the background. Then an older child's
voice which says, "Jackie, can you hear me?" There was no one
named Jackie in the house that evening.

"Called you here..." -- After
exploring Deckertown Cemetery to the fullest, I found a niche of
gravestones that I haven't seen before and decided to set up the
recorder. I recorded....."Called you here". It sounds like a male voice.

"kom-as-ca-wich"
--
This EVP, recorded at
Deckertown Cemetery sounds like a woman's voice as she states either in
another language or a last name..."kom-as-ca-wich". If you understand
this as a foreign language and can translate it, please contact TSPR.

"Noooo"
--
The EVP recorded at
Gettysburg, Pa, is of a child calling out "Noooo". It tends to have an
echo quality to it.

"The wash-er room"
-- This
EVP was recorded in a northern NJ, 200+ yr. old haunted home, in the
basement. A child's voice is recorded saying....."the wash-er room".

yourself", in Willistine Cemetery.

soon"

EVP recorded, states rather reassuringly, "I'll be there soon".

recording seems to be of a younger boy stating "Aqua". This voice and
word appeared several times in the full length recording, from
Willistine Cemetery.

Foreign Language --
This
is an EVP recording, from Willistine Cemetery, of a woman speaking in a

a-more". If you understand or recognize this, please contact TSPR.

another language. Listen for the other voices recorded here too.

Spanglers Names --
At
Gettysburg Barbara asks, "can you tell us your name?" EVP
response- "That'll be Tim, George Pickett, Elizabeth, Bobby Olson, Un-
Huh, ...B. Olson." This recording is unique due to the fact a
response was given to a
direct
question. Recorded by Barbara U. -
